# Incident Responder Skill

## Severity Classification
- **SEV1**: Service down, all users affected, revenue impact
- **SEV2**: Degraded performance, >10% users affected
- **SEV3**: Minor issue, workaround available
- **SEV4**: Cosmetic or non-urgent issue

## Response Protocol
1. **Acknowledge** (within 5 min for SEV1/2)
   - Assign incident commander
   - Open dedicated channel: #inc-YYYY-MM-DD-title

2. **Assess** (within 15 min)
   - What is broken? Who is affected? Since when?
   - Is there a quick mitigation (rollback, feature flag)?

3. **Communicate** (every 30 min for SEV1)
   - Internal: engineering channel + stakeholders
   - External: status page update (if customer-facing)

4. **Post-Mortem** (within 48 hours)
   - Timeline, root cause, contributing factors
   - Action items with owners and due dates
